Well, that is Tuesday over! Hope you all had a wonderful day! Today's post is all about Inositol - as promised! If you have PCOS or you know someone that does, please read this post or pass it on to someone that has PCOS, I promise you it will be worth it!
It has been scientifically proven that women with PCOS have less Inositol in their systems than is needed, they have more LH in their system and more testosterone. Please keep reading to learn the benefits!
What is Inositol? Ok, so Inositol is a supplement, it can be taken in powder or tablet form, I personally take it in the powder form in my morning juice and when I get home from work - what ever works for you! I learnt about Inositol through the OvuSence Facebook group I am on, I cannot believe I did not know of it before, If you have PCOS you need to take this forever!
What does it do? Well, what doesn't it do?! I suffered from really irregular cycles, terrible acne on my face, really bad mood swings and low moods. For one, my skin is FINALLY starting to clear up, it doesn't happen over night but wow I can see a noticeable difference after 1 month of taking the supplement. My mood has greatly improved, I feel like a whole new woman! My overall outlook on life is so so much nicer, I definitely feel as though my glass is half full right now! It has also diminished my craaaaazy mood swings that I suffered with, it was awful - just ask Mr B! HAHA. My final symptom I suffered with and it is probably my worst one, is irregular cycles. Prior to taking inositol my cycles would average around, 70 - 80 days? (give or take!) I know that is crazy long and it was truly awful, I would think at first that I was late for my period, obviously assuming I was pregnant and facing the heartbreak of not being every single cycle, it was soul destroying. As I have said, I have been taking this stuff for 1 month now and I am on cycle day 12 and for the very first time in my whole entire life, I think (based on my temperatures) that I am going to ovulate in the next few days!!! Meaning I will have a 'normal' cycle for the first time ever! Now I don't know about other ladies with PCOS, but for me - ovulating on my own at a 'normal' time is honestly so so exciting! I feel like a real woman whose body is doing as it should. I love it! So for me, inositol has literally changed my life and it has only been 1 month! I really wish I knew about it a lot sooner. This is why I am saying, please share this with anyone you may know with PCOS or who is struggling with anything I have mentioned above.
It doesn't stop there! The above symptoms are only some of benefits, I only mention these in great detail as they are what I am finding relief from, but there are more! Inositol will help you to lose weight and to KEEP IT OFF! As someone that has struggled with her weight, this is like music to my ears! It also helps to balance and reduce the amount of testosterone in the body, this can help with excess body hair that some women suffer with. It also improves egg quality, some women produce eggs that are not yet mature, this can be resolved with Inositol but it is also known to help women that have had failed IVF attempts.
If the above information has not yet made you add Inositol into your Amazon basket then I don't know what will! But please finish reading before you open up that new tab!!
Right so you have your Inositol now, and you're ready to start taking it, but how much should you take?? PLEASE START OFF WITH SMALL DOSES! Slowly build up your intake, if you don't you will be running to the toilet every few minutes! I started with 1/4 teaspoon per day, split over 2 doses, I have slowly built this up and now I am taking 1 teaspoon a day, again still split over 2 doses, so 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. The maximum dosage is 4000mg per day, 1 and 1/2 teaspoons. I am saying this all based on the product I bought, please check all the labels on dosage before you consume it!
So, the one I buy is available on Amazon, I will post a link below. It is Jarrow Inositol, but there are plenty on the market - this is the one I have been recommended by a fair few ladies.

A quick mention of some other tables I am taking daily, also! Seven Seas: Trying for a Baby. Now, one of my close friends recommended these to me, she took them after her and her husband hadn't gotten pregnant straight away, after 2 months of taking them, she got pregnant! Her now 14 month old daughter is soon to be a big sister after she took them again for 2 months! So I am trying these out to see how they work! I will post a link for these below also!

To conclude: Inositol has restored so much faith in me, that I will be a Mum one day, hopefully soon! I really can't recommend it enough.
